Rockstar co-head Rob Nelson revealed that GTA 6 will feature a relationship mechanic between protagonists Lucia and Jason, where players' choices about their romantic status will meaningfully affect gameplay rather than being a superficial system. The game will allow players to either commit to the couple staying together or have them drift apart, but this won't prevent them from continuing to commit crimes as partners regardless of their relationship state.
