GTA 6 Was Not “Fully Formed” When Trailer 1 Came Out In 2023

Rockstar North head Rob Nelson revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6 was not in a complete state when its first trailer debuted in December 2023. Nelson described the trailer's featured Tom Petty track, "Love is a Long Road," as a creative "mission statement" that the development team used as motivation to finish the game.
